Cooking
Was in the kitchen today.
Helped my mum cook Chicken Briyani, Aloo Mithi (Potato with a green veg from India) and tow gay.
Chicken Briyani
Fry 1 big onion and 2 garlic.
Add 1 tomato, 1 tea spoon salt, 1 table spoon meat powder, 1 table spoon tumeric, 1 table spoon crushed chili powder, 1 cinnamon, 3 cloves, 2 nutmegs, some curry leaves.
Add chicken parts after.
Cook for 15 min or so, adding small qtys of water along the way, to prevent burning.
Add a handful of dry red chilis.
Meanwhile, cook the basmati rice, added with a table spoon of oil and 1 tea spoon of salt. Cook until 90%.
Mix the briyani and rice together and slow cook for 5min. Add fried cashew nuts.
Done.
Aloo Mithi
Fry ginger, 1 small size one.
Add potatos, 2 small ones.
Add 1 tea spoon of salt and 1 tea spoon of crushed chili powder.
Add mithi.
Cook for around 10min, slow fire.
Done.
Tao Gay
Fry onions.
Add in tahu and tao gay.
Add 1 pinch of salt.
Cook for around 5 min.
Done.
